It has definitely saved me both time and money and there's so much less frustration when I'm in a hurry or packing for a trip.
I can now look in my closet knowing that what's in my capsule wardrobe will fit and coordinate well with other things in there.
That's the secret, gals ...coordinating.
I heard from one person who said they had tried using a capsule wardrobe, but found that it got boring for work ...always using the same blazer, skirt, etc. I told her that she wasn't setting it up to work correctly and just needed to add a few textures and colors to change up an outfit.
I'll be listing the items in my summer capsule wardrobe soon so do stay tuned, but for now I wanted to share one of my favorites for this summer ...these no-iron, button up, long sleeve shirts. They offer a variety of uses from light jackets to cover-ups. You can find them here.
I love tank tops, but consider my arms to be a wee bit large. I can cover up my upper arms with a light weight shirt like the one above and feel more comfortable ...less self-conscience too + I love that they are no-iron. I don't even own an iron ; )
I have a black swim suit and love to change out the different colored shirts as cover-ups too. Makes my last-year's suit feel less blah.
I'm a little behind in completing my summer capsule wardrobe since I've been traveling lately and still picking things up here and there, but it is almost ready to be introduced.
